CIBS – China International Boat Show is the largest Chinese Fair for Boats and Watersports

CIBS is the most comprehensive boat & yacht exhibition in China, which covers the whole boating industry chain. As the ideal Chinese platform to feature boating products, equipment, technologies and services, CIBS aims to popularize a maritime lifestyle and yachting culture amongst a rising upper and middle class in China. Inaugurated already in 1996 CIBS it is the event with the longest tradition in China and enjoys a very good reach to the maritime community and beyond.
CIBS is the only boat show in China hosting overseas national pavilions initiated by their governmental organizations and associations. CIBS is also co-located with the 2018 The Sixth Travel & Leisure Expo, Shanghai, RV Camping & Leisure Sports Industry Expo, Expo Life Style 2018, Shanghai International Workboat Show 2018, making this mega expo the must-attend event of the year to showcase a complete offering of the leisure, recreation and luxury industries.

Exhibitors: 2017 showed up with 448 exhibitors from 73 countries & regions. New Zealand, Italy, Australia, Korea, Japan and Taiwan were present with group pavilions. Famous brands as Beneteau, Bavaria, Jeanneau, Sunseeker, Sea Ray, YAMAHA and HONDA exhibited their boats and equipment at CIBS 2017. Steyr and VETUS presented boat accessories.
Visitors: In 2017, 30,448 visitors reached CIBS, 1,346 from abroad. Most of the international buyers arrived from countries as Korea, Hongkong, Taiwan, Malaysia, Thailand, Australia, Japan, the USA, New Zealand and Singapore. More than 40% of all Chinese visitors came from Shanghai and some 11% were from Zhejiang.
